Clown Fish (Year 4)
World War One Centenary Show
A huge thank you to Mr Dilly who put on a wonderful performance this morning during the World War One centenary show. Clownfish had a lovely time and were highly interested to learn about the past.
Dear Parents/Carers, for next year (Clownfish Class- yipee!) I have set up a Class Dojo page for you all to join.
This is an easy and exciting way for you to see all of the progress and good behaviour your child is making at school- I will be updating it with photos and letters where possible.
If you have any questions please come to see me!
High school musical!
I am so proud of the effort that the Stingrays put into their High School Musical performances. Their costumes were brilliant and they had attitudes to match.
Every single Stingray certainly 'got their head in the game' and gave it one hundred percent.
Well done to all, and thank you to parents for all of the incredible support (and enduring the Wildcat cheer for weeks on end...)
OUR WATER MATTERS
Thank you so much to Paul and Sarah from So Sussex, who came to see Stingrays and taught us all about the water cycle. We really enjoyed learning new words such as 'condensation' and 'precipitation', our seagull dance and making filters for water.
The Stingrays have learnt just how much water matters!
ORIENTEERING AT NEWHAVEN FORT
The Stingrays had great fun orienteering at Newhaven Fort. They demonstrated a fantastic understanding of Navigational skills such as map reading, then going on to find every point!
Dear Stingrays and Parents/Carers,
Just a quick reminder that we have our trip to Newhaven Fort for Orienteering on Wednesday 18th April (this Wednesday!) If you have not signed and returned your child's slip, please make sure this is done as soon as possible- without a slip they cannot go!
I'm looking forward to seeing you all after a lovely Easter holiday, and hope that you are as ready for Term 5 as I am!
Miss Morgan :)
The Stingrays have been really enjoying their Spanish recently! Check out the video below to see them all in action!
Muy bien, Stingrays!
World Book Day & Stingray Class Assembly
A huge well done to all of the Stingrays (and their parents/carers!) for all of the hard work put into World Book Day costumes- they all looked incredible!
Also, a huge thank you to the Stingrays on their brilliant performance of their class assembly on Tuesday- you are learning so much every day and I am incredibly proud!
Miss Morgan :) x
Welcome to Stingray Class page!
This is where you will find information on what we are learning in class, helpful resources for learning and the exciting things we have to look forward to.
Times table experts!
We like our times tables in Stingray Class, one of our favourite Maths games to play is "Hit the Button".
We have learnt our 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s and 10s. Miss Morgan also taught us a trick for our 9 times table!
I have posted a link below for you to play the game at home.

Dear Parents of Stingrays-
On the last day of term (20th December) the children are allowed to come into school wearing their own clothes, due to a Christmas party we will be having in the afternoon!
They have all worked so incredibly hard and should be very proud of themselves.
thank you all for your kind cards and gifts, it is incredibly appreciated.
Have a very merry Christmas!
On the 13th of November, the whole school (reception, year 1,year 2,year 3,year 4,year 5 and year 6) were invited to a Peter Pan pantomime in the hall. It was very good but very crowded. It included Tinker bell, Peter pan, Tick tock croc Captain hook and lots more.

On the 4th of November, Stingray and Penguin class had a Viking workshop and learnt more than we knew already!
It was fun and a few people went up and acted out being Vikings. The best part was the songs that we learnt, and Miss Morgan went and she acted her self out being a famous runner.
Thank you for reading.

Year 3 have been really enjoying their RE lessons on Sukkot festival.
We have learnt about the building of 'Sukkahs' in the desert and have even begun to recreate our own in the reading corner!
This term our topic is 'The Vikings'. We will be learning the story of Thor and his Magic Hammer and retelling it using Talk for Writing. We will also be looking at where and when the Vikings invaded.
For our 'Take One Poet' learning journey we have been looking at Michael Rosen and his poetry- particularly 'The Rhythm of Life'.
The children in Stingray Class used all of their energy learning the poem off by heart and retelling it through story mapping. Well done, Stingrays!
