Communication with Parents

Communication with parents/carers

We believe that good home-school communication contributes to our pupils’ feelings of purpose and belonging at school. We have a very supportive parent body and we enjoy working with you to assist, inform and advise each other towards meeting the best interests of your child. You will be asked to sign a Home-School Agreement when your child starts our school. We have timetabled parent-pupil-teacher consultations during the Autumn and Spring terms, to share our Reading, Writing and Mathematics targets for your child and to suggest linked activities that you may share at home.

During the Summer term you will receive a written report that summarises attainment over the school year. Newsletters are sent home regularly with your youngest child and the most current newsletter is available on our school website.
We trust parents/carers to contact the school whenever they have any concerns regarding their children. If you have more than a brief message to pass on to your child’s class teacher it is usually best to telephone the school secretary to make a fixed appointment with the appropriate member of staff, so that your concerns or queries are given the time they deserve.
