Denton 7 v 1 Harbour

After high winds and torrential downpours throughout the day, the weather broke and our long awaited match against local rivals, Harbour, could begin...

The early stages were very even with Harbour enjoying the best of the possession, however Denton kept making much the better chances. Denton gradually began to get on top with some excellent link-up play in midfield and attack. The deadlock was finally broken after a burst of pace and skill, followed by an excellent finish. Not content with one, Denton then fired two more past the Harbour goalkeeper in quick succession, which gave Denton a comfortable lead at half-time.

The second half began with Harbour once again putting Denton under pressure and they thoroughly deserved their goal after a superb run and finish from their attacking midfielder. But Harbour could not sustain the pressure and Denton quickly got back on top, scoring a string of well worked, and very well finished goals. An excellent performance from Denton in difficult conditions - well done!

Our next game is away at Meridian next week.
