Our magnificent Year 5/6 tag rugby team took to the field at Eastbourne RFC today, to battle it out amongst the very best schools from across the South Downs district. Be began with a fiercesome encounter against the mighty Wallands, which was a fantastic game, and we came out on top with a 5-4 victory! Next, we faced Laughton, whom we beat 3-1, before drawing 3-3 with Polegate. This meant that we finished top of our group and now faced a quarter-final match aganist The Haven. We played some of our finest rugby in this match and won 5-2 - a magnificent effort! Our semi-final clash was aganist South Malling, and in what was a very close encounter, we were very unlucky to lose 5-3. It was a fantastic afternoon's rugby and the team can be extremely proud of their performance.
